On September 14, 1906, the first five sisters from Tutzing came to the Philippine Islands. They were asked to provide religious education for youth.
Today, 185 sisters and 19 stations belong to the Manila Priory. The sisters are engaged primarily in schools along with many other activities. The total number of students is around 30,000.
Filipina sisters are currently stationed in almost every priory world wide, thanks to many vocations in this predominantly Catholic country.
